EDUCATION PROGRAMS
- Consumer Support Groups
' CONNECTIONS GROUP' located at Northside Mental Health Center
12512 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612. EVERY MONDAY NIGHT 6:30PM-8:00PM
- Family Support Group
TAMPA located at VA Mental Health Outpatient Clinic 11707 Club Drive, Tampa, FL. 33612. FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH 6:30PM-8:00PM
BRANDON located at First United Methodist Church 120 Knights Avenue, Brandon, FL. 33510. THIRD THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH 7:00PM
- Family-to-Family a 12 week course designed for families of individuals with serious mental illnesses. The course covers information about the following: serious mental illnesses, medication, side effects, current research, effective treatments, problem solving, communication skills, community resources and support services. Next class TBD
- Peer-toPeer a 10 week course for people with mental illness, to assist them in understanding brain disorders, symptom managment, relapse prevention, coping skills, and advance directives. Next class TBD
- Educational Meetings guest speakers from the community are invited to present on topics of interest.
