Journey Village has been gaining momentum in the community for over 2 years in our efforts to help the homeless. We have been distributing food, clothing, blankets and personal hygiene supplies to hundreds of homeless individuals and families and helping other Coalition members with their events. As members of the Homeless Coalition of Pasco County we have stepped up our activity to develop a resource center that will serve the homeless population of Pasco County from a central location.
On Saturday, February 27 Journey Village is hosting a fundraiser dinner presented by Carrabba's Fine Italian Restaurant from 6pm to 9:30. The dinner and music will be held at the Wilderness Lake Preserve Clubhouse at 20646 Wilderness Lake Boulevard, just off US 41 in Land O'Lakes. Dinner will be followed by a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are available for $25 each or $45 for two. There are no paid organizers for this event. After the cost of food and the facility, all funds go to Journey Village, an all volunteer 501(c)3 group, for the homeless.
Journey Village would welcome any volunteer help to set up the facility at 5pm and/or cleanup afterward. Tickets are available from Bonnie Himes, Vice President, firstname.lastname@example.org or from Rick MacPhee, treasurer email@example.com .
