DACCO Center for Behavioral Health

DACCO Center for Behavioral Health is home to a comprehensive range of substance use disorder related services available to men, women, teens and seniors, and includes two new family living areas where single mothers progress through treatment without being separated from their children. The agency provides services to children, youth, adolescents, and adults, as well as to the co-occurring population (mental health/substance abuse) and the homeless community.

Services

Adult Outpatient Services

Including Assessment and Referral services at both the main campus and Brandon location. Specific outpatient programs include Drug Court, Misdemeanant and Driving under the Influence (DUI).

Adolescent Outpatient Services - "Back on Track"

Outpatient Services specifically designed for teens age 11 -17 that have a substance use disorder including individual and group counseling sessions.

Women's Center

Includes an intensive residential treatment services for up to six months including supportive, wrap around services including educational, life skills, parenting, vocational and aftercare services. Extensive outpatient programming includes day treatment and outpatient programs. Specific programs supporting pregnant, post partum moms and their children include the Zero Exposure program and Family Intervention Services.

Family Center

The Family Center includes residential treatment services for up to six months for men at two Tampa locations. For women in treatment the family center includes the first of its kind duplex that allows women in treatment to live with their children on campus as they complete their treatment. Onsite child care is provided in cooperation with the Child Abuse Council and Hillsborough County Head Start for infant to children up to the age of 5.

Community Education Services

Includes inhome, school based and in the community prevention based programming designed to address risk factors often leading to substance use. Innovative programs for pre school children to those age 55 and older provide information related to providing information on alcohol, drug and prescription drug use as well as providing options and supported activities to reduce and avoid risky behaviors. Innovative programming such as Healthcorps is provided at two local High School campuses providing information to students and parents to ensure healthy choices and lifestyles.

HIV/AIDS Services

Includes assessment, education, testing, counseling and treatment for individuals with HIV/AIDS and substance use disorders. Additional prevention activities targeting at risk populations in the community regarding the disease is also provided as well as confidential and free testing available.

Food Bank services are also provided to eligible individuals and families through the provision of food cards to local supermarkets.

Medical Services

Includes medication assisted treatment services for individuals who have been addicted to an opiate for at least a year. Onsite primary care services are provided through a collaboration with Tampa Family Health Centers. In addition, through an affiliation with the University of Florida an onsite psychiatric clinic and associated services are also available. A full service onsite laboratory providing point of collection drug testing services are also available onsite in collaboration with Compass Vision.

Adults in Transition Services

Includes employment, educational, aftercare, recovery support and permanent supportive housing services for individuals successfully completing treatment.
